Regardless of the relationship you have with your critics, they can be your friends.
Indeed, they should be your best friends.
When someone is willing to risk offending you to give you some feedback you may not like, seize on the opportunity to learn.
Learning seldom comes with praise and agreement, it mainly arises with honest reflection on challenge and criticism.
Easier said than done you cry.
Though, if I may be your friend for a moment, you are normal if you take criticism as a personal attack. That is a natural reaction but usually totally wrong.
So come on, sit back and get curious with your critics and open yourself to learning more.
One thing may surprise you. With this approach, they may well want to be your best friend too!
